Education
I began teaching in public schools in 2007 as an elementary music specialist. Since then, I've taught K-12 students in music, band, orchestra, and choir. My roles include Director of Orchestras at Tri-Cities High School, Music Teacher and Choir Director at Rocky Mount Elementary, and Fine Arts Professional Learning Coordinator in Cobb County, Georgia. I have provided private lessons and presented at the Georgia Music Educators Association Inservice in 2021, 2023, and 2025. In 2021, I won first place in the Lowell Mason House national competition for virtual music lesson plans. I continue to seek opportunities to support music instruction in schools.
Music
Music has been my lifelong passion in various forms: performing euphonium, teaching, conducting, and arranging. I fell in love with the euphonium in fifth grade and have continued playing for over thirty years. I hold a bachelor's in music education and a master's in music performance. I've performed with notable groups in metro-Chicago and metro-Atlanta, including The Wheaton Municipal Band, Cobb Wind Symphony, and The Georgia Brass Band (substitute). I enjoy arranging music, conducting, and facilitating music events. My arrangement of “Varen” by Edvard Grieg is published at Euphonium.com. I also serve as the Schedule Coordinator for the IET Festival, hosted by Dr. Adam Frey at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

That desire has led me to continuously explore new avenues of artistic expression that include scale models (miniatures), 3D printing, 3D design, graphic design, and a variety of other techniques and tools related to these domains. I am constantly learning new skills and exploring new tools to help me realize ideas and designs.
